Say Thanks Every Day

Celebrating the Transformational Power of Gratitude

I'm borrowing this idea from Seth Godin at Triiibes. Tell us a little bit about who you are what gratitude and saying thanks means to you.

Hi Everyone,

I believe every day is a gift from God, and that what we have the power to make things happen by how we interact with that gift. Gratitude is a conscious choice; it's easy to moan and complain. Taking time to step back and look for the positives is the key to success in any situation. It's what makes winners.

My 2 Cents,

Bette
Thanks, Bette. Worth a lot more than 2cents.

Hello and Happy 2010,

I thinks it's not to late to wish everybody a happy new year. I met Ed on Seth Godin's Triiibes and just learned about this community when Ed had posted about his 15 question, circle of impact planning guide.

My Page here is up-to-date, but I'll give you a brief intro.

** After growing up in Europe, moving to the US, meeting the women that became my wife back in Europe, I know life on my third continent Africa. I know I am luring you into false belive a bit, since the Canary Islands where I live are part of the European Union and just a gateway into Africa. Anyway, geographically I am correct.

** I'm most active in Marketing, specially Internet makreing and I am a kind of behind the scenes guy; I like it that way.

That should be good for a start.

Yours
John
The planning guide John mentions is my Circle of Impact 2010 Planning Guide.
Thanks, John.
I am grateful today for finding this ning and being able to share my gratitude. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a teacher. I am grateful for the donorschoose program and the opportunity people have to donate to classrooms around the world.
Could you tell us a bit more about the donor choose program. I'm not familiar with that?
From the donorschoose website: DonorsChoose.org is an online charity that makes it easy for anyone to help students in need.

Here's how it works: public school teachers from every corner of America post classroom project requests on DonorsChoose.org. Requests range from pencils for a poetry writing unit, to violins for a school recital, to microscope slides for a biology class.

Then, you can browse project requests and give any amount to the one that inspires you. Once a project reaches its funding goal, we deliver the materials to the school.

You'll get photos of your project taking place, a thank-you letter from the teacher, and a cost report showing how each dollar was spent. If you give over $100, you'll also receive hand-written thank-you letters from the students.

At DonorsChoose.org, you can give as little as $1 and get the same level of choice, transparency, and feedback that is traditionally reserved for someone who gives millions. We call it citizen philanthropy.
